Mrs. Patience Akyianu is the Chief Executive Officer of the Hollard Group in Ghana and is a director of both Boards of Hollard Insurance Ghana (General Insurance) and Hollard Life Assurance Ghana.
Patience has made an immeasurable impact in less than two years as a determined leader of Hollard Ghana. Before joining the Insurance Industry in October 2018, she was the Managing Director of Barclays Bank Ghana and spent 17 years in the banking sector.
After assuming the Group CEO role of Hollard Ghana, its general insurance business, Hollard Insurance Ghana moved from 5th to 3rd in terms of Gross Written Premium. Over the last year, the Life Insurance business has been growing with a unique sales model and innovative products that are making the business gradually popular with customers.
Patience’s community service efforts are far-reaching and unique. She is very passionate about Youth Leadership and takes time mentoring and coaching young people. She is an ambassador for the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) helping students bridge the gap between academia and industry. She is also the founding member of both the Executive Women Network and International Women’s Forum, Ghana.
